Get Informed: Latest Updates to the Saskatchewan Waste Management Regulations

Originally aired: July 25, 2023

The ministry is offering an information session regarding the regulatory changes that will affect your business! The Household Packaging and Paper Stewardship Program Regulations, 2023, govern the distribution of packaging and paper to Saskatchewan households by businesses. Recent amendments to the regulations will require a change to how the collection and recycling of household packaging and paper are managed. The new regulations will impact Saskatchewan businesses, organizations, municipalities, First Nation communities and entities that are responsible for waste management. Watch as Brienne Bennett, Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment's Senior Waste Management Coordinator, walks us through the compliances we need to know.
