Dalla Corte Espresso Coffee System

Jingbo Deng - Latte Art Competition Judge

Jingbo Deng is the owner of Bicerin Coffee and Bicerin Roasting Factory in Toronto. She is a SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America) certified Lead Instructor, CQI (Coffee Quality Institute) Licensed Q-grader, BGA (Barista Guild of America) certified Level 1 & Level 2 Barista & Examiner, and SCAA certified Golden Cup Technician. She is a veteran judge of many national competitions across the country, and she has also been trained by WCE (World Coffee Events) for judging Latte Art. For Ms. Deng, the Restaurants Canada Show is an essential platform to inform top-level people in the restaurant industry about the importance of coffee.

What to expect:

She will be offering advice on “cupping” every batch of small roasted coffee and how to continually work on adjusting the roasting profile for every batch of different origin coffee. This naturally brings out the best, unique flavours in each type. Deng will also be offering latte art demonstrations. “If all restaurants learned how to serve a cup of good coffee, they would be willing to pay a few more dollars more instead of leaving and going to another shop. As an expert in the Specialty Coffee Industry, I feel it is my responsibility to inform operators and the restaurant market in Canada how profitable coffee can be.”

She offers the following advice to baristas competing in the Latte Art Competition, “Go with your heart-- relax and have fun!

Tea Association of Canada

In addition to having a strong involvement in the international tea trading industry, The Tea Association of Canada is a trade not for profit that represents the Industry from bush to cup. with over 40 years of experience. Louise Roberge, president of TAC, leads the Association in importing teas from around the world. TAC creates blends and distribute to various channels including restaurants, hotels, spas and specialty food shops. Their many years of trading experience, coupled with being the industry leaders in education and experience in food service, makes them ideal partners to work with. 

What to expect:

At the Restaurants Canada Show, they’ll be showcasing a range of their experience in the industry and emphasize the diversity of tea, from innovative tea programs to cooking with tea, and tea cocktails. For Roberge, “Coffee and Tea are the last impressions you make on your guests. It is so important that food service gets that right.” They’ll also be featuring high quality teas as well as opportunities to collaborate and develop easy private labelling programs. Plus there’s several exciting and informative events including Cooking with Tea, 4-Star Tea Program, and How to Serve Tea.

The Tea Association of Canada is a big believer in working with customers to form a partnership. Roberge adds “We will help you in building your program. Ease of execution is so critical.”

Zuccarini Importing Co. Ltd.

Operators will be able to accurately and efficiently work with brew ratios and improve consistency like never before. And making its North American debut at the show, Zuccarini will present the Victoria Arduino White Eagle espresso machine for the first time to attendees. The White Eagle offers simple programming through a full colour TFT display with enhanced features such as high groups and cool-touch wands. With the addition of the White Eagle, Victoria Arduino and their sister company Nuova Simonelli, are offering a great selection of options dedicated to the specialty coffee division.
